Who are you in the past

Hakan was so happy to finally see his parents. They were young and youthful just like he remembered from his childhood. He ran towards them and hugged them. Tears were flowing through everyone's eyes.

From over their shoulders he could see his uncle and aunts, his older brother Daniel and his younger sister Anette. They were smiling. Hakan had a big smile plastered across his face too. They were not the wrinkled old selves either but youthful! He realised that he himself was not feeling any of the body aches. He rolled his tongue around in his mouth and his teeth were intact too!

‘By Jesus I can't believe all of you are here !’ said Hakan in excitement.

The smiles across the faces of the people dimmed a little. Ennette intervened and said ‘let's all have supper, it should be ready!’

‘Yes yes let's go’ said Hakan.

There was a large shaded area with a table where 20 people could sit.

There were already his grandparents , his uncles and aunts, everyone from his family he knew of, seated.

Everyone was waving at him and welcoming him. He went around the table and had a small chat with everyone.

He could not help but notice that everyone was wearing small lockets around their necks.

The food was brought by Daniel and their cousin Eirik. When everyone was seated, the grandmother stood up with a glass in her hand.

‘We thank the gods for bringing Hakan into the family!’

‘Cheers’ everyone applauded.

‘As a welcome gift for you, we present to you the symbol of our families continuity’ continued granma Anna.

His father placed the small locket in the shape of Thor’s hammer in front of Hakan.

‘What is this!’ he exclaimed.

Everyone burst into laughter.

‘We have been cut from our gods on earth, but in Valhalla we continue our traditions.’ his father said in a serious voice but with a smile on his face.

Hakan was confused and had a frown on his face. ‘Jesus is our saviour, father you lived in faith, how can you accept this?’

On earth you didnt know what happened to us and how we were snatched from our traditions. But those traditions were never broken here. We will introduce you to your ancestors from hundreds of years ago, you will then know the truth.

‘I will never’ shouted Hakan.

‘I told you he will leave us and join then other’ joined in Daniel, ‘many families have been broken here, we would loathe for you to have to do that too.’

Hakan was confused. Last thing he remembered about his life on earth was his family sitting around him. He had suffered for a long time due to cancer. Here he was in heaven or valhalla or whatever this place is. And the first thing he is brought to face is his entire belief system from his past life!

The place is the afterlife. All of your ancestors are present together! All of the stories across generations and their aggregated experiences are available to you. Who are you in this new light of information?
